FIRM PROFILE / SPECIALISATION

A number of legal firms market their services as having lawyers specialising in family law. This is not the same though as being an Accredited Specialist.

Accreditation as a specialist is conducted and recognised by the Queensland Law Society and the Law Council of Australia and is a demanding process. To be admitted as a specialist, a minimum number of years experience and practice is required as a threshold requirement. Thereafter, further assessment by written examination is required. Accredited specialists must then continue to participate in legal education and development to ensure they remain up to date.

Our primary goal remains always to achieve our clients' needs, goals and expectations in delivering high-quality and cost-effective legal services. We believe that overall there is no substitute for experience, dedication and ultimate success.

The firm has intentionally focussed the practice on areas of personal law. These affect most individuals and is required to service the growing need for specialist lawyers in diverse and often emotional complex areas of law.

We prefer and emphasise negotiation and mediation to achieve favourable outcomes for our clients. Failing this, litigation remains if necessary.

At all times, we remain committed to delivering legal services confidently and efficiently.
